 With regret, the Founders and Elders of the Mature Asskickers are leaving this place. Almost 6 years is one heck of a run so there are no regrets. This is not to say that we will be gone, just moving onto something else. We would like to thank all those that have helped build the (MA) into the special thing it once was. We wish you all luck and fun gaming in whatever you decide to do. We will keep the forums up for a while to give time for those wanting to keep the in-game fights going (WOW and BF). Teamspeak is now down and the rest of the services we have been providing will be slowly shut off while we are moving to the new host. For those who still believe in the “old tenets”, please feel free to contact any of the Founders/Elders.
While the name may die, the (MA) way never will.

 My friends.
The Mature Asskickers was founded on May 30 2001, almost 7 years ago. That is a very long run for anything in life. In that time I have seen members growing up, heading to school or jobs, getting married, heading to war and just about everything else life has to offer. It has been a very good run.
But like all things in life, this too must end.
Today we have a general meeting to announce what little we know of what will happen to the Mature Asskickers after today. The majority of the leadership have decided that what we have here today is far removed from what we once had, and what we wanted the (MA) to be. We have many 'members' who do not even bother to fill out a profile, post in the forums or truly be involved with the Clan in any way, they just want to use what we provide for them. We have member attacking member, members posting immature posts and the things we hear on Teamspeak shame us.
This is what the (MA) is today, something that I am personally sorry to be involved in. The majority of the Leadership agrees with this feeling as well. Most of our time is spent dealing with what is frankly childish things. The true 'mature' members have withdrawn from being involved for just this reason.
What happened to the mature part of being in the (MA)? It has been run over by loud immature members who contribute nothing to the Clan as a whole.
Today, this ends. Please join us if you can at the meeting. A short post about the results of today's meeting will be put here later today.

 The Mature Asskickers Code Of Conduct:
We honor the following codes without exception.
Breach of conduct will result in suspension or expulsion.
#1 Respect your fellow players, teammates, and leaders
#2 No foul language in Teamspeak, chat rooms, games, or forum postings
#3 Keep your temper and be polite
#4 Practice good sportsmanship
We all know that our games are played by people who conduct themselves in a totally annoying and self-serving manner. We distinguish ourselves from them by our conduct. We strive to be good players, good teammates, and good citizens of the on-line world and community’s.
We are proud of our reputation on and off the battlefield. Many of our members are regular and energetic participants in the community dialog which enlivens the game. We recognize that intellectual conflict is inevitable in a community as rich with opinion as that of online gaming but we strive to keep that conflict civil in tone.
Rules of the Clan
A) We are a Clan, the good of the Many is more important than the good of the One
B) We keep the gaming fun because they are just games
C) We are friendly both inside the Clan and outside the Clan
D) We hold ourselves as an example of good sportsmanship and mature behavior
E) No matter what the games we play, the Clan rules stay the same
F) Members must be active in the forums and involved in the Clan
Breach of the Clan rules will result in being removed from the Clan
